Dermal filler injections (also known as an ‘injectable fillers’ and ‘soft tissue fillers’) are non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments that can add volume to correct age-related skin creases, wrinkles, and folds. They can also be used to add volume to hollows and sunken areas or to add definition and enhancement to other facial features.
The treatment can also be helpful with oily and enlarged pores, blackheads, and some acne scarring. In addition, microdermabrasion stimulates the creation of collagen and cell turnover. Immediately following a microdermabrasion session, the skin will feel smoother and have improved texture.
How does microdermabrasion work?
Renew skin's radiance with a medical exfoliation of the skin's superficial layer. Microdermabrasion achieves exfoliation and increases circulation for refreshed looking skin. We recommend a series of four treatments for optimal results.
Does microdermabrasion remove acne scars?
Microdermabrasion can effectively smooth very superficial acne scars, but cannot completely remove acne scars. It works by removing the skin's dead cells on the very surface of the skin and stimulating circulation which leads to collagen stimulation.
By essentially 'sanding down' the skin's dead cells and increasing cell turnover, microdermabrasion improves skin smoothness and texture, but will not remove acne scars. Particularly deep acne scars will not be removed by microdermabrasion.
Why should I go to a medical professional for microdermabrasion?
While there is very little risk of negative side effects associated with this treatment, the capability of microdermabrasion machines has increased over time and only a trained skin expert will have the knowledge of how to get the best results.
Skilled and experienced Registered Nurses will often combine microdermabrasion with other treatments such as chemical peels or products, to maximize the effects, getting you the most for your money. When it comes to facial rejuvenation, a consultation with a nurse trained in proper skin care is always the best advice.

When will I see results with a chemical peel?
Your skin will look and feel better immediately after a treatment. If you are acne prone, continued treatments will help to keep the pores unclogged.
What will I look like right after treatment, and what will the healing time be?
Generally, the skin may look slightly pink for a few hours after the treatment. Mineral makeup can be used starting right after the treatment as long as it is applied over a moisturizer.
You will need to increase your use of moisturizers after the treatment period as your skin will temporarily be slightly drier. Be sure to use sunscreen every morning.
A series of six treatments is recommended for optimal results.

A Jessner Peel is a combination of three chemicals: resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. Jessner's peels and glycolic peels are both superficial peels, meaning that they are lighter peels and will not penetrate very deeply into the skin.

The demand for Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal and laser hair removal treatments are at an all-time high. This is not surprising, considering that traditional hair removal via electrolysis and waxing is painful and expensive.
Light-based hair removal permanently reduces unwanted facial and body hair, with more comfort than is possible with traditional procedures.
How does laser hair removal work?
Intense Pulsed Light systems release precisely controlled strong pulses of filtered light that are absorbed by melanin, the pigment in hair. This heats up the hair and destroys the cells responsible for hair growth, to achieve long term hair reduction.
How is the treatment carried out?
Following a consultation with your medical professional, and a test spot to ensure your compatibility with the treatment, our concierge team will schedule your laser hair removal treatment.
During the treatment, you will be asked to put on goggles to protect your eyes. A layer of gel is applied to the area to guide the light into the skin. The area will also be cooled to increase comfort during treatment.
The light guide is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released, targeting many follicles simultaneously. The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area of skin and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated. The chilled gel is removed and the area moisturised.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Our Palomar system offers a permanent hair reduction solution to areas such as the legs, bikini, underarms and upper lip with more comfort than traditional procedures. Guests experience less down time and lasting results.

For many people, looking great is a simple matter of a skin rejuvenation treatment for pigment and vessel clearance to reveal clearer, more attractive skin.
What is IPL used for?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatments are most commonly used for:
Lightening and removing sun spots, age spots and brown blotches on the face, neck, chest, hands and other areas of the body;
Lightening and reducing redness, rosacea, dilated blood vessels and "broken" blood vessels on the face, neck and chest; and
It also has a lesser effect of improving skin texture through collagen stimulation and improves pore size minimally by temporarily reducing oiliness.
How does IPL work?
Intense Pulsed Light treats skin imperfections including age spots, sunspots, and broken capillaries on the face, chest and hands. Light wavelengths penetrate the skin to remove unwanted capillaries and reduce pigmentation, evening-out skin tone and stimulating collagen production in the skin's deeper layer.
IPL, when done properly, almost always consists of a series of 3-5 treatments, usually one every 2-4 weeks. The benefits of IPL treatments are achieved with little discomfort and minimal risk.
How is the treatment carried out?
Following a consultation with your medical professional, and a test spot to ensure your compatibility with the treatment, our concierge team will schedule your IPL treatment.
During the IPL treatment, your medical professional will put special glasses or eyepads over your eyes to protect them. A cool gel is then placed on the skin being treated. The smooth glass surface of the handpiece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light flash. You may feel a very slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band.
